In support of environmental preservation and sustainable development, SMCC Philippines, Inc., in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), conducted a Bamboo Tree Planting activity in 2018. This initiative aimed to rehabilitate local ecosystems, prevent soil erosion, and promote the use of bamboo as an eco-friendly resource for climate change mitigation. Beyond planting, the activity served as an educational opportunity, highlighting the importance of bamboo in reducing carbon emissions, supporting biodiversity, and sustaining local livelihoods.
